Jupiter United SC Dominates Palm Beach Cup
Jupiter United SC dominates at the 2012 Palm Beach Cup with 4 out of the 7 teams entered making it to the finals and 3 out of the 4 taking home the championship. The U14 Girls won for the second straight year and players were already discussing a three-peat for next year. Steve Svopa who heads up the travel program stated, "our hard work and continued focus on individual player development first is paying off and it was nice to hear parents mentioning how much better soccer the club is playing from just a short year ago." The teams results in the finals were as follows;

Jupiter United Youth Soccer Day at University of Miami
Over 30 Jupiter United Soccer girls U11/U12 program along with players from the Palm Beach Predators U11 team took a roadtrip to the University of Miami on October 2nd to watch a former Jupiter alum, Shannon Caspar, play against highly ranked University of North Carolina. While the University of Miami lost 4-1 to the Tarheels, Shannon scored the lone goal for the University of Miami as a freshmen.
The Jupiter girls escorted Miami players onto the field and participated in a halftime scrimmage as part of the event. After the game, players were able to get autographs from the players. As a special treat, the players and coaches were able to meet and get autographs from Anson Dorrance. Dorrance, as head coach of UNC has won 21 out of 30 National titles, coached the U.S. Women's team to their first world cup and coached, among others, Mia Hamm, Christine Lillie, Michelle Akers, Heather O'Reilly and Tobin Heath.
Katie Fraine of WPS to Perform Training Session at Jupiter
Jupiter United is excited to inform you that next Sunday, September 25th, we have Katie Fraine, from the Women's Professional Soccer League's Atlanta Beat come to Jupiter!
Katie, a graduate and four year starter at the University of Florida, will perform a training session for our goalkeepers from 5-6pm. Then from 6-7 she will take questions from players and coaches and will then set aside some time to autograph items for the players. We would like to know how many goalkeepers will be attending the session so please RSVP as soon as possible!
This is a great opportunity for ALL our players, not just our goalkeepers to meet a WPS player and ask her any question!! All players and coaches are encouraged to attend, thanks!

New Director of Coaching Annouced
Jupiter United is excited to announce the hiring of Erik Didden as our new Director of Coaching. Born and raised in the Netherlands Erik and his family moved to Central Florida in 2001, and he is now bringing his vast experience to North County and our club. Erik's coaching education includes a USSF National C License, a USSF/US Youth Soccer National Youth License, all FYSA Youth Modules, Royal Dutch Soccer Federation (KNVB) Youth Certificate and a NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma.
Erik has served on the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program, as instructor on the FYSA staff and is still active as an instructor on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's (NSCAA) staff. He brings 8 years of High School experience as well as a year of semi-pro and college coaching experience to the club. Coach Erik can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Shannon Caspar to Play at The University of Miami
Shannon began her soccer career in the JTAA recreation program and played three years before furthering her training by joining the Travel program. During her nine year Travel stay, she was the teams leading scorer. Ed Bossie, whose daughter Kylie played alongside Shannon, served as the Travel teams Coach, while Kyle Gero served as her primary trainer.
Shannon is a multi-sport athlete who opted to play basketball in High School rather than soccer (overlapping seasons). She excelled in basketball and was a four year varsity starter at Point Guard for Jupiter High, a 6A school. During her high school basketball career, she established several school records including Assists and Steals and finished in the top ten in scoring. As a Senior, she served as a team Captain and received the MVP award. During her playing career at Jupiter High, she led the team to a couple of District Titles and two Elite Eight finishes. In addition to basketball, she also was a four year varsity starter on the Flag Football team where she served as Captain her senior year. The Flag football team won three District Titles and was State Champions in 2009.
In addition, Brianna Campbell (Northwood University, West Palm Beach, FL), Jackie Reiter (Babson College, Boston, MA) and Kelly Scott (Nova Southeastern, Ft. Lauderdale, FL) from the U18 Jupiter United Travel team will continue their athletic career in college.

The Jupiter United U15 Girls Team coached by Steve Svopa continued their impressive run by, after winning the Region A Cup and representing Region A in Auburndale at the Presidents Cup. winning both the semi final as well as the Championship Games at the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup, earning the privilige to represent the State of Florida during the Region III tournament in Alabama in June.
Our 15's will be facing stiff competition from teams from Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nort Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Tennessee. The winner of the Region III Presidents Cup will earn the right to represent Region III at the National Championship.
Great job and congratulations girls and Coach Steve; good luck in Alabama!

The Jupiter United U14 Premier girls travel soccer team won the 2012 Weston Cup & Showcase Silver division championship. The competition was held Feb. 18-20 in Broward County.
Jupiter United went 3-0-1 during the competition and defeated the Cooper City Cobras 4-0 in the championship game.
Team members are: Emily Scime, Kasi Usman, Sam Dominguez, Abbie Horchar, Maddie Winch, Hang Luo, Maegan Didden, Adrianna Biederman, Sam Baker, Emma Powers, Maddie Wagner, Lydia Conrad, Katie Dominguez, Vicki Li, Madison Iandoli, Alexa Moberley and Kaitlyn Svopa.

Congratulations to the U12 Manetta girls for making it to the Region A Cup semifinals. The girls defeated Weston Premier in the quaterfinals in the last minute of overtime to progress to the semifinals. The girls continued their strong play in the semifinals with a close game against Davie United Blue, losing 0-1.

U10 boys went undefeated in pool play at the Weston Cup. They lost the bronze division championship game in penalty kicks to Weston FC whom they had beat the day before 1-0.

The Jupiter United U13 girls ended the FLUGSA regular season in first place with a record of 6 wins, 0 loses and 2 draws. The U13 girls will be the #1 seed going into the FLUGSA playoffs.
In addition, the U14 girls and U12 girls will both be playing in the FLUGSA playoffs finishing 3rd and 4th, respectively.

The U13 and U14 girls took first place at the Hurricane Classic held August 21st and 22nd at Merritt Island. The U13 girls played South Brevard in the finals winning 1-0 while the U14 girls played Central Brevard winning 3-2.

The soccer season is starting up in full force with several teams participating in early season tournaments.
On the weekend of August 20th, the club will be sending six teams to the Hurricane Classic in Merritt Island.
On Labor Day Weekend, four girls teams will participate in the 13th Annual Melbourne Area Beaches Girls Labor Day Challenge.
