Spring Micro Soccer
2013 Marks the first year where Jupiter United SC has been approved to have a Spring Soccer season. This first year we will have limited field space for both practices/training and games, which in turn means we urge you to register early since we can only place so many kids per age group. The season will start April 12th and will run for 7 weeks with the last game day being May 25th.
The Micro Soccer season is geared towards player development, with the aid of the best teaching tool available; playing small sided games. Please find additional information regarding Spring Micro Soccer and it’s unique format below:
U4 & U6 – The 4’s and 6’s will start every Saturday at 9AM. Weekly professionally written curriculum will be handed to the coaches and 2 professional trainers and/or travel coaches will supervise and help the coaches conduct 3 or so activities before we move on to what the players came to do; play soccer. After the training activities we will break off and play 3v3 (or whatever numbers make sense) mini games. Adjustments between the groups may be made at any time to even out the games. Coaches will be asked to rank/evaluate all the players on their field to help us balance out the teams better each week.
U8, U10, U12 and High School Age – These players will train on Friday nights. Here too, written curriculum will be handed to the coaches and we will have a minimum of 3 professional trainers and/or travel coaches supervise and available to help the coaches perform the sessions. The trainers will rotate to make sure that all groups and coaches will have exposure to professional training at some point.
The games will be played on Saturday, using the 4v4 ‘Street Soccer’ format (number of players may me adjusted if registration warrants so). This format is really a mini tournament every Saturday, where we keep track of the score of each player individually, as they move from field to field to play several approximately 8 minute games. The field choice for every next game will be chosen randomly so the kids may play with different team mates every game. This will result in an individual winner with prizes every single Saturday!
We will also record and add up every player’s score each week which will result in one overall winner at the end of the season! We realize every player may have an off day, or even miss a Saturday so we will drop every player’s lowest score from the overall standings. The game format may be switched up from week to week by manipulating the goals, the location of the goals, or maybe even mixing the genders once or twice in the younger age groups!
Practice times:
U8 & U10 – Friday 6:00PM-7:00PM
U12 & Up – Friday 7:00PM-8:00PM
Game times:
U4 & U6 – Saturday 9:00AM-10:15AM (training then games)
U8 & U10 – Saturday 10:30AM-11:45AM
U12 & Up – Saturday 11:45AM-1:00PM
All practices and games will be at Jupiter Farms Park, 16655 Jupiter Farms Rd, Jupiter, FL 33478.

Teri Roberts is a photographer who is "one of our own". Her kids both play JTAA sports. She has been taking photos of our soccer participants playing their best and has some remarkable action shots, and she creates beautiful posters, which you can see on her website. I've attached a sampling poster. A portion of any sale comes back into our program.
